Experience student life in central Brighton

Being a student in Sussex is fun and exciting as there is always something to see and do. Brighton prides itself on its diverse culture and a large variety of attractions and events happening every day.

On-site facilities

The Study Group International Study Centre is dedicated to giving students the best study facilities possible. The incredible facilities available to students on campus are:

  • A conveniently located building in central Brighton, within a 2-minute walk from Brighton train station.
  • A dedicated space where students can socialise, eat lunch, and enjoy refreshments such as tea and coffee.
  • Quiet study areas for both independent and group study
  • A modern classroom
  • Access to an online catalogue of journals and resources as well as recommended textbooks 

Live in a vibrant city

Brighton is famous for its stunning seafront, unique shops and friendly residents. Every year, millions of tourists visit the city to experience its exciting and creative atmosphere.

Brighton is easily accessible from the International Study Centre, London and local airports:

  • Study Group International Study Centre to Brighton train station: 2 minute walk
  • Study Group International Study Centre to the beach: 10 minute walk
  • Brighton to Gatwick Airport: 30 minutes by train
  • Brighton to central London: 1 hour by train.

Things to do in Brighton

There is no shortage of fun things to do in Brighton. The city prides itself on its diverse culture and variety of events happening every day.

Sights and attractions

Brighton’s iconic pebble beach stretches five miles long and is visited by millions of tourists every year. Take a stroll down the promenade and browse the interesting stores or relax on the beach and enjoy the stunning sea view.

Situated on the beach is the Palace Pier. Built in 1899 during the Victorian era, the pier is home to multiple arcades, souvenir shops and a variety of food stalls.

Shopping

One of the most interesting places to visit in Brighton is The Lanes. The narrow alleyways were once 17th century cottages but are now antique shops, boutiques and cafes. You will always find something of interest in the unique shops.

Brighton’s high street is home to a large variety of shops and an indoor shopping centre, Churchill Square. Its three floors are filled with top brands and a variety of restaurants.

Nightlife

Brighton comes alive at night with its many live music venues, pubs and bars. There are many exciting events running across the city every night of the week.

Live music is a large source of entertainment in Brighton and every night its venues showcase the talents of popular artists and local bands. With over 30 venues, there is something for everyone to enjoy, no matter what genre of music they are into.
